We are pleased to finally share that Jan Sulmont has joined the Dusk Network team as Senior VM Engineer. More than a month ago Jan joined our team, and has been leveraging his vast experience into contributing to Dusk Network’s zero-knowledge Virtual Machine (VM).
Jan is a senior Computer Scientist and a trained statistician with love for programming, semantics, and distributed computing. He has extensive experience in tech, development, Blockchain, and algorithmic trading.
Jan’s passion for distributed computing and blockchain technology combined with his 20+ years of hands-on experience leading the development of bleeding edge, real-time networks, is nothing short of inspirational. He contributed to projects both in the realm of FinTech and AdTech. His passion for distributed computing and Blockchain, combined with his experience made him an ideal addition to the Dusk Network team.
Some of Jan’s achievements include a Patent for Message passing using shared memory of a computer, the development of a one-to-one marketing platform based on Orc and contributing to xorc.io for Open Source Real-Time Distributed Orchestration. Additionally Jan has an outstanding track record as Tech-Lead/ developer for major financial organizations (Royal Bank of Scotland, Barclays, Bank of Canada, Merril Lynch, Bloomberg, and more).
Jan brings to Dusk Network’s VM and Smart Contract team a great architectural pragmatism, an instinct for complex problem solving and a relentless pursuit of development excellence. We are all very thrilled to work with him and learn from his deep expertise. — Emanuele Francioni, Project & Tech
Having Jan join the team is a huge step for Dusk Network and the ongoing developments happening with the project. Our technical roadmap is rapidly progressing with new testnet updates on the immediate horizon, as well as the approach of our first mainnet release.
