It is with great pleasure that we introduce Thomas Modeneis, our most recent addition to the Dusk Development team. Thomas joins as an experienced developer and primarily focuses on our consensus, network, and infrastructure components.
Introducing Thomas
Above all, Thomas is a developer advocate and blockchain core developer. An IT professional with over 15 years of experience in software development, who started exploring the world of cryptography in 2013. In addition, Thomas is a longstanding Java Community Process (JCP) member and Executive Committee Member with SouJava, that holds over 40.000 members. He is a regular keynote speaker at conferences such as JavaOne, GopherCon, JustJava, Campus Party, Blockchance, and more recently, at HardFork Summit Amsterdam.
Being a Golang developer, the go-ethereum launch made him truly grasp the technology from a developer’s perspective. Ever since he is a regular contributor to go-ethereum and other open source blockchain protocols like ethereum classic and has been responsible for the creation of two blockchains. First, he designed MDL, a global trustchain connecting performers to gigs and brands to audiences that utilized a traceable and immutable reputation statistics storage. Later, Thomas assumed the role of CTO and guided the development of the Smilo blockchain platform that warrants transparency whilst protecting personal data.
