We are happy to share the results of the audit of the Kadcast protocol, performed by Blaize Security.

Scoring 9.8/10 overall, with the code quality scoring a perfect 10, Kadcast was found to be of incredibly high quality.

The initial audit lasted a month, with additional checks taking a couple of weeks after the Dusk team implemented recommendations. The audit was thorough and included reviewing the system architecture, and the messaging protocol, and also performing rigorous testing.

We are incredibly pleased with both the issues found - which have since been fixed - and the results and overall feedback about our protocol and its quality.

The audit included manual reviews of the code by the auditing team, reviews against recommendations, and testing.

This is the third audit report we have received, and once again confirms that our code, security, and protocol are of the highest quality.

Kadcast passed the audit, with the report stating that protocol “shows high compliance with the security standards” with the auditing team noting “the high code quality of the codebase, high functionality of each component, excellent work with resources, flexible configuration, and settings, and the availability of a certain number of native tests”.

We are thrilled to welcome Luca Franceschini to the Dusk team, as our new Developer Relations lead.

Luca will spearhead our efforts to bring developers to Dusk and build a vibrant ecosystem. With mainnet around the corner, now is the perfect time to welcome Luca and increase our developer support and outreach.

With our recently announced 15 million DUSK funding program, our permanent testnet Nocturne, and audits either completed or in process, we are excited to support external developers and teams in using Dusk to bring their ideas to life.

From privacy-friendly dApps to protocols dealing with regulated, real-world assets, we’re confident that developers will love building on Dusk and be able to build use cases and projects that they can’t do anywhere else.

Luca studied Mechanical Engineering, before discovering and falling in love with blockchain and cryptography. He went on to study various master’s degrees alongside self-study, before moving into developer relations officially.

He first came into contact with Dusk in 2018, and now the time is right for him him to join!

Luca says “Since becoming aware of Dusk 5 years ago my interest in the project has continued to grow. After enhancing my expertise in Developer Relations and deepening my knowledge of zero-knowledge proofs, the stars aligned and I finally joined the Dusk team. I’m looking forward to working with the team and all of the developers who we will onboard”.

This is an important update for holders of BEP2 DUSK. If you do not hold BEP2 DUSK you do not need to take any action, but if you do, you will need to migrate your token.

Binance is phasing out the Beacon Chain, making it crucial to migrate your BEP2 DUSK tokens to BEP20. After May 1st, migration may no longer be possible, risking the functionality and future utility of your tokens on the mainnet.

What You Need for Migration

- A wallet containing BEP2 DUSK and some BNB for transaction fees.

- A Binance Smart Chain-compatible wallet for the BEP20 DUSK.
