Consensus and Economic Protocol: Audit Completed

We are pleased to share Oak Security’s audit of our Consensus Protocol and of the Economic Protocol.

This was a comprehensive audit of key components of the Dusk blockchain, covering:

• The Consensus Protocol
• The Economic Protocol

Both of these are key components of our tech stack which have been created from scratch to provide users and institutions with a blockchain capable of onboarding traditional finance, at scale. 

The Process

Oak Security employs a very thorough approach, with 3 separate and specialized auditors working on a project and then coming together to share their findings. This means that multiple people manually reviewed the Consensus Protocol before they came together to share their findings.

After their findings were shared our team worked to integrate their feedback before resubmitting for further reviews. 

Due to the scope and complexity of the task, the audit spanned several months, and we are pleased with the results, the findings, and the state of the protocol. 

The Report

Overall the report found our protocol to be well-designed and found very few flaws. The issues that were found were addressed by our team and leave the protocol in a strong position for our upcoming mainnet launch.
