Expanding the Team: Rute, Nestor, and Georgian
We are pleased to share three recent hires to the Dusk team: two focused on our security exchange integration, and one joining as our new community manager.
Integration Engineer: Rute Santos
Rute joins from Porto, Portugal and has 5 years of experience, previously working working for a fintech company, which allowed her to acquire knowledge of the financial domain and how financial transactions work.
She is well-versed in multiple languages, working with Java, C#, SQL Server, and Microsoft Message Queuing. During university she also developed different projects using Node.js, Angular, and Android, and contributes to open-source projects, taking the opportunity to learn more programming languages and technologies (such as Golang, Svelte, and Javascript/Typescript).
She says “The culture of Dusk attracted me, with the values of collaboration, transparency, and continuous growth and improvement, which I strongly appreciate in my day-to-day work environment. I believe that working at Dusk will provide me with valuable learning and growth opportunities, and I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the company's success”.
Integration Engineer: Nestor Plysyuk
Nestor got his start with computers at a very young age. By 12, he was already familiar with Kali Linux and its applications in penetration testing and hash cracking.
He graduated in Computer Science at the University of Alicante and began working with .NET from the beginning, where he had a great mentor from the Microsoft MVP program.
He has spent the last 7 years building and maintaining professional software, continuously learning the latest advancements and following the best practices.
He says “The use of Dusk's open-source blockchain in a regulated environment to exchange all kinds of securities via Security Tokens demonstrates a very interesting use case in the real world. Dusk is made up of very talented people and I feel very proud to be part of this team”.
Community Manager: Georgian Sgura
Georgian has been in the Web3 space for 3+ years and gathered extensive experience as a Community Manager on multiple projects. Professionally, he studied International Marketing, which has helped him understand how to build strong connections with communities like Dusk.
His goal at Dusk is twofold: to be the bridge between you, the community, and the team, and also to help amplify our vision so that the world can truly understand what we’re building.
He says “Your voice will be a key part of this journey. Whether it’s feedback, suggestions, or just a chat, I’m here to listen. Let’s work together to build something truly visionary—a decentralized, privacy-focused financial system that can redefine how the world thinks about blockchain.
